Autonomic Technologies Inc. (“Autonomic”, the “Company” or “we”) takes privacy and data security seriously. We are committed to transparency in the collection and use of your personal information.  

Autonomic provides a web-based platform that gives individuals customized cognitive enhancement programs to improve their work performance (together, the “Services”) and business partners’ (a) management with high level insights into the overall wellbeing and effectiveness of their workforce or student body; and (b) individual employees or students with customized cognitive enhancement programs to improve their work performance (together, the “Services”).  

This Privacy Policy applies to personal information we process in the course of providing the Services to our business partners and to individuals, as well as to the personal information we collect, such as through our website, https://www.getautonomic.com/.

This Privacy Notice applies to the privacy practices of Autonomic on its Get Autonomic website located at https://www.getautonomic.com/, as well as offline.

COLLECTION AND USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

In the course of providing the Services to our business partners, we may obtain personal information about our business partners’ employees or other authorized users of the Services as set out below:

  • Account Creation:
    If you are registered to use the Website, you create a password. When you first login using that password, you can confirm your registration by providing us with your email address and name
  • Intake Survey:
    To allow us to provide the Services, you may choose to provide us with personal information, including demographic and family information, employment information, as well as information about your nutritional habits, sleep hygiene, and mental and physical wellbeing. We use the information set out below to provide the Services based on your responses to our intake questions.

CONTACT AND DEMOGRAPHIC INFORMATION:

You may provide us with information about yourself including your name, age, gender identity, marital status, and the ages and number of children in your household.  We use this information to assess your work related and personal responsibilities, and to provide you with recommendations to improve your wellbeing.

EMPLOYMENT INFORMATION:

You or your employer may provide us with your job title, industry, and your length of service. You may also provide us with information about your working environment, including if and how frequently you are distracted at work, how your productivity is affected by coworkers, and your overall impression of your workplace culture. We use this information to assess your workplace habits and satisfaction and to provide you with recommendations to improve your wellbeing.

SUPPLEMENTS & NUTRITIONAL HABITS:

You may provide us with information about your diet, eating habits, fasting regimen, coffee and alcohol consumption, recreational substance use, and prescribed medication. We use this information to assess your nutritional and substance use habits and to provide you with recommendations to improve your wellbeing.

SLEEP HYGIENE:

You may provide us with information about your sleep habits, including your sleep habits and quality, and electronic devices before going to sleep or shortly after waking up. We use this information to assess your sleep habits and to provide you with recommendations to improve your wellbeing.

PHYSICAL WELLBEING:

You may provide us with information about your physical wellbeing, including any chronic pain, fatigue, energy levels, exercise habits, or other self-care habits. We use this information to assess your physical wellbeing and to provide you with recommendations and to improve your wellbeing.

MENTAL WELLBEING:

You may provide us with information about your mental wellbeing and history, including your anxiety, stressors, life experiences, focus levels, mood, fatigue, and related information about your mental wellbeing and work performance. We use this information to assess your mental wellbeing and to provide you with recommendations and to improve your wellbeing.

  • Social Media:
    We may offer you the opportunity to engage with Autonomic or its content on or through third-party social media websites, plug-ins and applications. When you engage with us on or through third-party social media websites, plug-ins and applications, you may allow us to have access to certain information associated with your social media account (e.g., name, username, email address, profile picture) to deliver content or as part of the operation of the website, plug-in or application.
  • Marketing Communications:
    You may receive email marketing communications with updates and other information regarding Autonomic by providing us with your email. You can opt out of receiving marketing emails from us using the opt-out or “unsubscribe” instructions provided in the communication.   • Contact:
    When you contact us with a comment or question, or while using our chat function, we collect the information you provide such as your username and email address, along with additional information that we may need to help us promptly respond to your inquiry. INFORMATION WE COLLECT AUTOMATICALLY

We and our third party service providers, including [Google Analytics], collect, process, store and analyze information obtained from your browser when you visit our website, including IP address, device identifiers, browser characteristics, operating system details, language preferences, referring URLs, length of visits, and pages viewed. We use this information to help us understand how visitors engage with the Website and to improve our visitors’ experience.

YOUR EMPLOYER / PRINCIPAL

We collect and use your personal information to provide you with a customized cognitive enhancement program.

If you are participating in the program as an employee of a business who has engaged Autonomic’s services; We do not share your personal information collected for this purpose with your employer and/or principal without your consent.

Where we can do so without revealing the personal information of individual users of the Services, we provide employers with high-level, aggregate insights into the overall wellbeing and effectiveness of their workforce.

SERVICE PROVIDERS

Your personal information may be transferred (or otherwise made available) to our affiliates and other third parties who provide services on our behalf. We use third parties to host and manage our website including email and SMS communication. Our service providers are given the information they need to perform their designated functions, and are not authorized to use or disclose personal information for their own marketing or other purposes.

Your personal information may be maintained and processed by us, our affiliates, potential employers, and other third party service providers in the US or other jurisdictions. In the event that personal information is transferred outside of Canada to the US or other foreign jurisdiction, it will be subject to the laws of that jurisdiction and may be disclosed to or accessed by the courts, law enforcement and governmental authorities in accordance with those laws.

LEGAL AND COMPLIANCE

We and our service providers may provide your personal information in response to a search warrant or other legally valid inquiry or order, or to another organization for the purposes of investigating a breach of an agreement or contravention of law or detecting, suppressing or preventing fraud, or as otherwise required or permitted by applicable Canadian, US or other law or legal process. You have the right to access, update and correct inaccuracies in your personal information in our custody and control, subject to certain exceptions prescribed by law.   After successful registration with the website, you may access, review, and change your personal information through the “Settings” feature of the website. Alternatively, you may request access, updating and corrections of inaccuracies in personal information we have in our custody or control by emailing or writing to us at the contact information set out below. We may request certain personal information for the purposes of verifying the identity of the individual seeking access to their personal information records.
